What do you do when you have 18-month-old twins who won't stay put for a joint photo? Pop 'em in the famous bucket, of course! I bought this prop at an antique store quite a few years ago for $200. My friend Kelley, an antiques aficionado, told me "Mary Lynne, hate to tell you, but that bucket is totally not worth $200." Well I'm here to tell you that it was worth every penny! Love ya, Kelley. P.S. Great smile on him. And check out the look on her face. Too cute. Love it!

It is $125, and includes a 45-minute session on the white background, along with an 8x10 and 2 5x7's of your single favorite image from the session. Just for fun, here is a shot of the very first child I used as a guinea pig when I got it in my head that I was going to be a professional children's photographer. She brought him over to my little make-shift studio in my dining room a couple times and I took a whole bunch of shots. This was back in the film days, when it was more important to make each shot count, because it was going to cost you! He wandered over to the window and he looked so cute there that I took a few shots and the mom was like "don't waste the film!" because he wasn't in front of the background, but somehow this particular shot turned out to be so magical. I'm sure that the encouragement of this particular mom and the success of this one shot played a large role in inspiring and motivating me to continue as a photographer. The background is the trees in my backyard behind the window.
I still love this shot so much, and have it hanging in my studio.

Here's one I really like from my November 2008 special. I totally love this baby's smile. She looks so happy. And that red skirt is so great. I also had the opportunity to photograph her as a newborn, so it was wonderful to see her again. Too bad she just moved out of town!

As a test for a limited time I am offering birthday photo sessions for one-year-olds for only $125. This session fee covers not only your 45-minute session, but also includes one 8x10 and two 5x7's of your favorite single image from the session. My regular price for the prints alone is $105, so this is a great savings off my standard rates. The sessions are in my downtown Colorado Springs studio on the white background, and include one outfit, plus you may bring a cake for separate birthday cake photos if you wish.
